Jil Sander is a preeminent German fashion house that is known for its minimalist styling. The line was established in the 1960’s but only became well known in the mid-1970’s. It was a welcome change to women’s suiting in the 1980’s and 90’s, after excess was in. Her typical look is all about clean lines and simple styling, long pantsuits and fluid dresses. Jil Sander herself is not involved in the line anymore, but the collection retains her original philosophy.
