Vera Wang

Vera Wang reawakened the bridal industry in 1990. She produced elegant, sophisticated and feminine designs that were like a breath of fresh air. Celebrities all over the world can be seen wearing Vera Wang gowns on their wedding day. The line came about when Wang couldn’t find pieces that she wanted to wear for her own wedding, so she decided to do something about it by creating her own pieces. Vera Wang bridal did so well that in 2000, a ready-to-wear line was also launched. In 2005, the Council of Fashion Designers of America honored her with Womenswear Designer of the Year.
